RER = 70 × kg^0.75, times the life-stage factor from the Pet Nutrition Alliance. Every cat is different: weigh yours every few weeks and adjust with your vet. Weight-loss plans should be set by your vet.

Enter your cat's weight and life stage. Add the calories from the label to see cans or cups a day.

How it works

Resting energy = 70 × weight in kg^0.75, multiplied by a life-stage factor from the Pet Nutrition Alliance: 1.2 for a neutered adult, 1.4 for an intact adult, 1.0 for an inactive cat, 0.8 to 1.0 for weight loss, and 2 to 3 for a growing kitten. Treats get 10% of the total.

Mixing wet and dry food? Work out the total calories, then split them between the two using each label.
